DOI (ang. digital object identifier) – cyfrowy identyfikator dokumentu elektronicznego, który w odróżnieniu od identyfikatorów URL nie zależy od fizycznej lokalizacji dokumentu, lecz jest do niego na stałe przypisany.

DataCite - międzynarodowa organizacja typu not-for-profit, której założeniem jest ulepszenie cytowania danych w celu:

ułatwienia dostępu do danych naukowych w internecie,
wzrostu akceptacji danych naukowych jako sprawdzonych oraz wkładu w zapisach naukowych,
wsparcia archiwizacji danych, która umożliwi weryfikację wyników oraz użycie ich w przyszłości.

Integrating the dLibra System with the DataCite System and the Integracja systemu dlibra z systemem DataCite Metadata Store (MDS)

The DataCite Metadata Store (MDS) pozwala użytkownikom na rejestrację DOI wraz ze skojarzonymi metadanymi. Dlibra 6.1 integruje się z ww. API i umożliwia łatwą rejestrację tworzonych w systemie obiektów. Po poprawnej rejestracji obiekty będą dostępne publicznie poprzez allows users to register DOIs with the associated metadata. Version 6.1 of the dLibra system integrates with the abovementioned API and makes it possible to easily register objects created in the system. After they have been correctly registered, the objects will be available to the public through the DataCite REST API.

UWAGA: aby korzystać z funkcjonalności DOI wbudowanej w system dLibra należy posiadać konto w systemie DataCite. W tym celu należy skontaktować się z zespołem DInGO poprzez formularz kontaktowy na stronie WWW pakietu DInGO (http://dingo.psnc.pl/) lub adres e-mail pomocy technicznej (help at dlibra.psnc.pl) aby uzyskać informacje o zasadach współpracy z DataCite. PCSS jest członkiem konsorcjum DataCite i ma uprawnienia do przeprowadzenia niezbędnych formalności na podstawie których tworzone jest konto dla zainteresowanej instytucji.

NOTE: In order to use the DOI functionality built into the dLibra system, the user must have an account in the DataCite system. The PCSS is a member of the DataCite consortium, and it is authorized to take care of the necessary formalities on the basis of which an account is created for the interested institution. Configuration

The dLibra System Server – Metadata Mapping

The metadata required by the MDS are mapped from the dLibra system to the metadata schema on the basis of the content of the doi-export.properties file located in the conf/ms subdirectory of the root directory of the server. Uwagi dotyczące mapowania:

Przypisywanie metadanych do schematu wymaganego przez MDS odbywa się poprzez podanie po znaku równości nazwy RDF atrybutu dostępnego w systemie dlibra (np. creator = Creator). Możliwe jest przypisanie kilku atrybutów (np. title = Title, Alternative).

Notes on mapping:

In order to assign metadata assigned to the schema required by the MDS system, the user must enter the RDF name of the attribute available in the dLibra system after the equal sign (for example, “creator = Creator”) Several attributes can be assigned (for example, “title = Title, Alternative”).

Możliwe jest utworzenie dowojnej liczby przypisań dla metadanej typu alternateIdentifier wg. schematu alternateIdentifier.{freeText}, gdzie {freeText}, jest wartością dowolną
Metadana publicationYear jest wymagana przez MDS i jej wartość musi stanowić czterocyfrowa liczba naturalna (0000-9999). Jeśli wartość będzie niepoprawna, to zostanie wykorzystana data utworzenia obiektu w repozytorium cyfrowym.

Aplikacja czytelnika

The values for {relatedldentlflerType} and {relatlonType} have been included in the file mentioned above.
Any number of assignments can be made for the alternateldentlfler metadata type, in accordance with the alternateIdentifier.{freeText} formula, where {freeText} is any value.
The publlcationYear metadata is required by the MDS, and its value must be a four-digit natural number (0000–9999). If the value is incorrect, the date of the creation of the object in the digital repository will be used.

Reader Application

For the DOI registration system to function correctly in the MDS system, the “doi.properties” file must also be configured. The file is lcoated in the “/conf” catalog of the Reader Application.
