In the dLibra system, digital objects are stored in the original, digital form entered by the editor. The basic scenario of a presentation involves the mechanisms of Internet browsers based on the HTML standard. Most popular multimedia formats will be presented in Internet browsers without any problems, and one does not have to worry about additional extensions. The user can also download files in their original form or choose a special extension for presentations – if there is an extension for the given format. For downloading media files, the user needs to have appropriate software for the given file format.

From version 6..1.0 of the dLibra system on, there is a possibility of presenting high-quality images (pyramidal TIFFs), with the use of solutions based on IMFIIIF. The Universal Viewer project is used for presenting such files. For more information about that standard, see section Supplement D: Configuring IMF IIIF files.
