There are three mechanisms to choose from when putting files in order. The first one is removing a file version. A file version can only be removed when the given version is not the only file version and when it does not belong to any edition. The second mechanism is removing a file. A file can be removed when none of its versions belongs to an edition. The third mechanism is automatically removing the unnecessary files of an object, that is, those object versions and files which can be removed. In order to remove the unnecessary files of an object, select the “Remove unnecessary files...” option from the context menu of the “Object files” item (which is visible in the advanced mode when the object is opened).
